MODERN DESIGN MEETS OLD FARM HOUSE

MODERN DESIGN MEETS OLD FARM HOUSE

Serendipity Farm, a charming 245-year-old farmhouse is nestled on nine verdant acres with spectacular views and the appeal of historic Bucks County. The farm is also home to a cozy cottage, an inviting pool with pool house, plus a serene pond and a grand barn.

During a media preview, a few of the designers shared some of the challenges they experienced with their rooms. Design Home Interiors of Montgomeryville had their pick of thousands of pieces from their six main furniture manufacturers to put in the parlor, but had to make it work with the dark blue color of the walls, and the exposed old stone walls and dark wood ceiling beams.

“It was nothing like what we originally designed, but that’s the way design works,” said assistant designer Sarah Hull.

An appreciation for the blend of elegant design combined with contemporary elements has inspired the design for the Front Entry of this 18th century home.

Designed to reward the discerning eye, Design Home Interiors designers Mark Little and Sarah Hull depict the luxury and lifestyle of "past meets present" with brilliant blues which brighten The Lounge's design, particularly when paired with saturated tones and tailored white accents.

Updated for today's sophisticated taste, the crystal chandelier and the hand-painted étagère enhance the beauty of the home's natural stone walls and recreated bamboo tile floor.
