An appreciation for the blend of elegant design mixed with contemporary elements has inspired the design for both the Front Entry and The Lounge in this year’s 18th century Bucks County Designer House & Gardens.
Inspired by the home’s original stone walls and wooden rafters, we wanted to depict the luxury and lifestyle of past meets present with brilliant blues which brighten the home’s design, particularly when paired with saturated orange tones and tailored white accents.
When first entering the foyer, the crystal chandelier and hand painted white and orange lacquered étagère enhance the beauty of the home’s stone walls and recreated bamboo tile floor. Moving into The Lounge, a white tufted chesterfield sofa conveys a touch of elegance when paired with cobalt blue leather studded chairs. Orange fabrics balanced throughout the space are eye catching and exhilarating.
Layering solid fabrics and textures atop a distinguishing area rug unites classic form with modern elegance in this striking space. Versatility will be upstaged only by beauty in the white lacquered bar console which features hand carved doors and a sleek chrome base. Chrome light fixtures paired with Ming Dynasty inspired accents add a captivating finishing touch.
These uniquely designed spaces will be sure to “wow” guests and leave a lasting impression. Be sure to come and visit our Front Entry, Space #1 and The Lounge, Space #2 to see our design transformation!
